BOOK REVIEW:
EARLY AMERICAN HISTORY/PRIMER

Reviewed by: N. Beyer, Moorpark, California
Our family loves literature and early American history, so this was a perfect match for us! I've looked at some of the textbooks available for this level, and think this wins "hands down." The books are wonderful, and Rea Berg has provided great questions to stimulate young minds. We used our library for the literature selections, so this was a very inexpensive program to use.

Beautiful Feet puts out an easy to follow-not too much writing, history study guide which uses real books to study history. Many of the books can be checked out at the library and all of us enjoy the reading aloud. The books are well chosen and my kindergartner and second grader loved the stories and were easily able to listen for the lesson. Usually wanting more of the story than the study guide assigned. A great way to learn history.

Using the study guides provided by Beautiful Feet books my family fell in love with history. My children tell everyone that history is one of their favorite subjects. They enjoy working in their history notebooks, which chronicle the lives of the people we are studying, and sharing them with friends and neighbors. The real life books bring history to life. The author, Rea Berg, is also careful to point out that it is actually His Story.
